It's great to hear such an optimistic viewpoint from Marketwatch, but their site is littered with quotes from Rob Enderle, so it's hard to take it seriously.

It is the global potential that makes this company even more exciting. I am currently living in China and Apple has only scratched the surface here, although it does have some rather large obstacles to overcome. In particular, those thrown up by the Chinese government such as a 17% tax placed on Apple products as they are considered a foreign manufacturer even though most of their products are built here, and the prohibition of WiFi as a standalone technology in the iPhone. Other obstacles include: Lack of company owned Apple stores (only one so far in the whole country although their are many small Apple retail sellers just not any large players when it comes to Macs). Counterfeit iPhones. Lack of credit card use, especially online (impacts the iTunes store adoption). Fear of downloading apps - even to the iPhone - thanks to the legacy of the ultimate virus prone company - MSFT. Proliferation of bootleg software and jailbroken iPhones. Etc.
