I was "victim" of new TSA rules during this Christmas return to home and i must say this is aggravated violence of privacy. Hard to say if it is sad or laughable, but i was searched (as well as other flight comrades) and still could have a bomb (big word here for honest guy like me) ie in my photo zoom. All this looked more like demonstration of power then efficient way of finding anything, but "illegal bottle of herbs".

Radical followers of Islam:
(A)It is the USA and UK who invaded Iraq for no good reason at all aprt from needing to grab territory and oil.
(B) Its the USA and UK who invaded Afghanistan, for no good reason, even though NO_ONE has EVER managed to 'win' in Afghanistan.
(C) Its the USA an UK governments who are introducing draconian laws and taking away our 'freedoms'.
(D) Its still not proven if any 'terrorist' has EVER managed to do anything at all in the USA. 911 has never been investigated at all, and the likelihood is that it was perpetrated by the US govt.

When the HELL are people going to wake up, switch of the damn TV and start thinking?

How about we get out of the middle east, stop supporting Israel and simply work hard, do good, trade with other countries and stop being so fat lazy and greedy.....

This will not work: It is the attempt to solve a political problem with technology. We cannot prevent people to harm others if they are so committed that they are willing to risk their own life.
The solution would be to find out why people attack others, and change the conditions that produce terrorists. One step in the right direction would be to redraw all armies worldwide to the country they came from.

What I find egregious about this story but wasn't included in the article is the fact that the Transportation Security Administration has no departmental leader yet because Senator Jim Demented is holding up the Administration's candidate, with some specious argument of fear over unions!

Can't they just install lasers above each seat and a guy in a control room monitoring everyone. Then he could just blast suspicious looking passengers. And if that doesn't work, they should handcuff passengers to their seats. If they need to blow their nose, just call for the air hostess. I guesss they'll have to resort to serving soup through straws, but hey, we all want to be secure.

It's all embarrassing security theater that won't help a bit to prevent anything. Why? Read this and weep.

@ qka

That would at least keep radical Islamics from boarding or at least it "should" ;)

Just wondering when anyone will notice their freedom and privacy is being taken away, bit by bit, not by the terrorists but by homeland control freaks, all for little more than a vague promise of security.

Probably because of the directive on not having electronics or laptops at the last hour of the flight.

It is stupid due to the simple fact that nothing happened, and of course we still have to put on more restrictions on travel.
