A post by one Brian Ashcraft in Playstation 3 News, Playstation 3 Tutorials asks the interesting question:
Which Game Consoles And Console Makers Impress Young Japanese Women?
http://www.europs3forum.com/2009/03/which-game-consoles-and-console-makers-impress-young-japanese-women/

The results make for very interesting reading and are definitely relevant to the discussion here...

Hi Prince/Dan! Some bloke at the Grauniad - yes that's how it once spelt its own name on the front page - reckons this article at AI is "absurd"... presumably because it's detailed and factual, rather than ignorant opinion. Note the retraction about emoji (sp?) http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/2009/mar/02/apple-iphone

Cheng's own blog tries to do damage control by dancing around the facts that show him to have deliberately made up and misattributed quotes. When one puts something in quote marks, that means there is no doubt this person said exactly that - possibly in some cases with minor grammar corrections to help avoid embarrassment on the speaker's part.

At respectable publications, such a thing as intentional misquotes would lead to instant unemployment on the part of the reporter. Too bad WIRED doesn't seem to want to uphold the journalism's standards of integrity.

Brau:

That's not how it looked to me. That sounds more like the negative spin desperately sought to put on it by many. From its first launch and through today it has sold like hotcakes. The problems you mentioned may have made headlines but as far as I know did not affect the bottom line.
