i think MS realizes WM 6.5 is lipstick on a pig, but desperately needs to put out something &quot;new&quot; in 2009 to try and hold market brand name position - if not market share - until WM 7 can be delivered in 2010. still, the delay until late in this year to release 6.5 is just going to kill them with regard to even that limited goal. looks like Nokia/Symbian especially will eat their lunch this year.

as we get further into the Ballmer era it is becoming more apparent that these kind of shallow marketing tactics are becoming MS main strategy, instead of quality software. e.g. Vista 6.1 aka Windows 7. plus trying to copy/knock off everything Apple has done. at least in the consumer zone. enterprise products, i dunno.</description>
