I did the same surgery 12 years ago. It was a drag but every day is better than the last. After 2-3 days, you'll be feeling much better. My favorite memory of the surgery (if you can have that) was waking up in recovery, feeling awful. I was in an upright position. Just then a group of visitors (med students) come by and their advisor is explaining my surgery. I feel ill and make some noise but can't speak because of being wired up. They lean in to try to make out what I'm saying, clearly feeling sympathy for my situation. At which point I puke through the wires, neatly hitting all 10 of them before they can jump. I'd feel bad about it but there was nothing I nor any of them could do. Just goes with the territory. And getting a new face in my case was a great improvement. No more extreme underbite. Take care. I pray it goes well. My daughter had similar surgery when she was about 15. She came through it fine, though for a few days she looked a bit like she had been mugged in a back alley. But the procedure did exactly what it was supposed to. I will miss your frequent tutorials on what is going on with the best personal computing platform in the world.
