Did you adjust the prior contract by inflation?
Although you are right, I feel that you are exagerating a bit: oil prices went far up.

well, the downside is the in-store activation requirement. many of us hate dealing with the salespeople, especially at the AT&T stores where they try to talk you into extra services etc. the ‘do it at home’ activation of the 2007 iPhone was a welcome Apple innovation, now fading away. i understand why – it’s “just business” to protect Apple’s share of the AT&T revenue. but it is a loss.

and as many have noted, with the $10 per month increase for AT&T service, the total 2008 iPhone price is really going up, not down as hyped by Jobs. not too much – $40 more grand total over a two year contract.

once the initial AT&T two year contract is over, we can legally unlock the phone for use with any another GSM carrier, right? that’s next year for the 2007 buyers.

Just wish while they were rolling out the iphone in 22 countries we could have it in North Dakota. South Dakota and New Hampshire would probably appreciate it as well.

I understand Apple’s deal with AT&T but it is unfortunate that they did not make allowances for those who live in states that do not have AT&T service.

How’s Spain? I went to Madrid two years ago and it was amazingly great. Oh, and it doesn’t look like we get flat rate here in Sweden with the iPhone. Which sucks bigtime.
